Julian Hallmann is an Engineered Materials Expert at Boyd, where he leverages his extensive material science experience and expertise to solve performance challenges for electric vehicles. Julian plays a vital role in helping European eMobility customers find unique ways to leverage high performance materials to solve technical challenges in and around eMobility applications, primarily in sealing, shielding, and insulating lithium-ion batteries, inverters, converters, and ADAS. Using efficient precision materials customized to each customer’s technology, Boyd material experts like Julian help OEMs and battery manufacturers address performance challenges in battery cell swelling and compression, dielectric shielding to address spark voltage, flame barriers to isolate combustion, and many other high performance and demanding applications. Material experts like Julian work diligently with engineers and operations experts to assure solutions are optimized with design for manufacturing in mind to help customers most efficiently integrate solutions into their high capacity automated assembly operations.
