With over six years of experience in research and development, innovation, and consulting in the field of e-mobility and sustainable energy, Simon is passionate about advancing the state-of-the-art in battery manufacturing. As the Managing Director of eLab, the E-Mobility Laboratory of RWTH Aachen University, Simon leads a lab in which interdisciplinary experts from research and industry partners deliver cutting-edge solutions and services for the e-mobility sector.
Simon is also head of the E-Mobility Innovation Network at the Chair of Production Engineering of E-Mobility Components (PEM) of RWTH Aachen. Herewith Simon and his colleagues provide an active network for the collaboration between industry and research. This includes the dissemination of their joint innovation through various formats such as the E-Mobility Podcast, E-Mobility Briefing and the E-Mobility Exchange.
Simon hold a Master of Science degree in Sustainable Energy Technology from Eindhoven University of Technology (Honors Track), and a dual Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Milwaukee School of Engineering, USA, and Technische Hochschule Lübeck.
