Florian Baumgärtner studied physics at the University of Heidelberg and the Technical University of Vienna. He has a PhD from Imperial College London. During his PhD research from 2007 till 2010 he developed an acceleration sensor based on an ultra-cold atom interferometer. Since 2010 he has been developing automotive radar sensors for advanced driver assistance systems and autonomous driving at Mercedes-Benz and currently Project lead multi-mode radar for ADAS at Daimler AG.
