Dr. Apostolos Segkos is a chemical engineer with over 10 years of experience in nanomaterials science. He received his PhD in the field of carbon nanomaterials and microelectronics from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece, and continued his research career as a post-doc researcher in the field of energy harvesters and autonomous sensors in the National Center for Scientific Research “Demokritos”. In 2023 he moved to Estonia to join UP Catalyst’s R&D department as a Senior Chemical Engineer, where he was leading the process of carbon dioxide transformation by MSCC-ET. Currently, as UP Catalyst’s Head of Development, he is responsible for the lifecycle of carbon conversion from CO2 to raw critical materials for various applications.
